ZAGREB, May 27 (Hina) - The third session of the Joint Croatian-
Italian Economic Committee will take place in Rome on May 28 and 29
this year, the Croatian Economy Ministry said in a statement
Wednesday.
Croatia's delegation will be headed by Neven Mimica, Assistant
Economy Minister in charge of international economic cooperation,
and the Italian delegation will be led by Vittorio Paolini, head of
the Office for Neighbouring Countries in the Italian Foreign
Ministry.
Although Italy is Croatia's second most important trade partner,
there is real potential for further strengthening of their economic
cooperation.
Croatia and Italy have signed agreements on the stimulation and
protection of investments and tourism cooperation.
Talks about the signing of agreements on avoiding double taxation
and air and road traffic are under way.
During the two-day session, the two delegations will also discuss
cooperation in the area of finance, transport and science as well as
Italy's investments in Croatia.
