ZAGREB, May 11 (Hina) - World Health Organisation (WHO) started a
convention in Geneva on Monday, the Health Ministry said in a
statement on Monday.
This year, WHO is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its work.
The convention is attended by health ministers and their deputies
as well as by presidents and premiers of the world's leading
countries.
A Croatian delegation at the convention is led by Deputy Health
Minister Zeljko Reiner who is also a member of the WHO Executive
Committee.
Reiner will deliver a speech about health indicators for Croatia.
Despite the war and a large number of refugees, as well as economic
problems, in the past several years Croatia had better health
indicators than other countries in transition, the statement
said.
