SKEGRO - GOVT INVESTS ONE BILLION KUNA IN SIBENIK COMPANIES

( Editorial: --> 2467 ) SIBENIK, May 8 (Hina) - The Croatian Government has invested about one billion kuna in the financial rehabilitation of eight Sibenik companies and there is a noticeable progress in their business, said Economy Minister Borislav Skegro at a press conference in Sibenik following a closed meeting with county and city leaders, representatives of the companies concerned and hotels. The joint assessment was that the Sibenik economy is improving, said Skegro. The Government has earmarked 83 million kuna for the care of surplus workers, 90 million kuna of company debts have been written-off, 320 million have been cleared and the payment of 280 million kuna has been postponed.
