ZAGREB, May 6 (Hina) - Four successor states to the former
Yugoslavia on Wednesday expressed willingness to support the
inclusion of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (FRY) into
international organisations.
Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia and Slovenia said in Zagreb
they would voice their support on condition of respect of the
equality principle for all five successor states formed after the
break-up of the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.
Assistant foreign ministers of the four countries said today they
discussed the possible inclusion of the FRY (comprising Serbia and
Montenegro) into the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in
Europe and other international organisations.
They also focused on the consequences this might have on the overall
succession to the former Yugoslavia proceedings.
The common standpoint is that in line with international law, the
FRY as a new state must apply for inclusion in the said
organisations and comply with conditions necessary for this
inclusion.
