NEW INCIDENTS REPORTED IN KOSOVO

( Editorial: --> 9637 ) PRISTINA, April 26 (Hina) - The Kosovo Information Centre on Sunday reported that the Yugoslav Army last night again opened fire in the direction of Cermnjani, a village near Djakovica. A four-year-old girl and a woman were wounded in last night's shelling of Herec, another village in the Djakovica municipality. The bodies of ten Albanians, killed on April 23 by the Yugoslav Army, were transported to Herec on Sunday. It was also reported that the border village of Morina was shelled last night. The Media Centre, formed in the past several days by the Serbian Association of Journalists, today reported of several incidents, citing army sources. A group of Albanians opened fire last night on the Yugoslav Army troops near Lake Radonic, north-east of Djakovica, the Media Centre reported. The army responded and the shooting continued for the next four hours. There were no casualties among the Yugoslav soldiers, the Media Centre said. On Sunday morning the Yugoslav Army prevented 10 armed Albanians from illegally entering Yugoslavia from Albania near the Gorozupa watchtower, on the Yugoslav-Albanian border, Serbian sources reported. A Serb police officer was wounded around 11 am when fire was opened on a police vehicle on the road Pristina-Pec, near Kijevo, Serbian sources said. This is the second attack on police on the road Pristina-Pec since last night. (hina) rm 261813 MET apr 98
