SARAJEVO, April 21 (Hina) - The Bosnian Presidency's Croat member
Kresimir Zubak received international High Representative Carlos
Westendorp in Sarajevo on Tuesday.
A statement from Zubak's office said that the two officials
discussed the current situation in Drvar, a Croat-controlled town
in western Bosnia.
Zubak and Westendorp discussed last week's killing of two Serb
returnees in Drvar and the action the international community has
taken in regard to the deaths.
They agreed that it was necessary to secure the return of Croat
refugees currently living in Drvar to their homes in 42 Bosnian
municipalities in both of Bosnia's entities.
Westendorp said the international community would continue to
engage in the return of refugees to the Bosnian Serb entity, adding
the Republika Srpska Premier Milorad Dodik had already given some
promises.
It was agreed a meeting would take place with Westendorp's deputy,
Hanns Schumacher, to determine the concrete steps which should be
taken.
Today's meeting also focused on the functioning of joint bodies in
Bosnia-Herzegovina, especially the Foreign Ministry, as well as on
the existing diplomatic and consular missions of Bosnia-
Herzegovina and initiatives for demilitarisation, cantonisation
and construction of motorways.
Both officials showed an interest in the democratic reorganisation
of the existing state television service so that it could avoid
falling under party control.
