"DAYS OF RETURNEES VUKOVAR 98" START

( Editorial: --> 7276 ) VUKOVAR, April 16 (Hina) - The second economic and cultural event "Days of Returnees Vukovar 98" started in Vukovar on Thursday. The event includes the first spring fair of agriculture, construction and reconstruction. Twenty-six returnee municipalities and towns and about 50 business people from all over Croatia are participating in the event. "Days of Returnees" will last until April 18. Speaking at the opening of the event was vice president of the National Trust Establishment Committee, Ivica Vrkic. "There is no doubt that the state has to do most in securing the return of displaced people. However, it should be stressed that state reserves are small and that it is not easy in a short period of time to do all that is necessary in creating conditions for the return of every displaced person," Vrkic said, adding that the state should engage more in all areas which are important for reconstruction and return.
