GENEVA, March 31 (Hina) - A new round of negotiations commenced in
Geneva on Tuesday for Croatia's admittance to the World Trade
Organisation (WTO).
The Croatian delegation will submit new offers for concessions in
trading services, industrial and agricultural products to all
interested countries.
"In this round of negotiations positions are expected to get closer
on industrial goods and services, and initial negotiations on
concessions for agricultural and food products are in train," said
the leader of the Croatian delegation, Neven Mimica, assistant to
the Economy Minister.
On Tuesday Croatia's delegation discussed its bid for membership in
the WTO with Czech, Japanese and Slovak delegations. On Wednesday,
meetings are planned with representatives of Slovenia, Uruguay and
Australia.
Talks finish on Friday.
