NEGOTIATIONS ON OPEN ISSUES BETWEEN CROATIA & BH CONTINUE

( Editorial: --> 2314 ) SARAJEVO, Mar 25 (Hina) - Delegations of Croatia, Bosnia- Herzegovina and the Croat-Muslim Federation Wednesday adjusted views on an agreement on access to the Adriatic Sea and passage through Neum. According to a joint statement issued after the meeting in Sarajevo, talks were held in line with a previously reached agreement under which such meetings are to be held frequently. The Croatian delegation was headed by Economy Minister Nenad Porges, the Bosnian delegation by the Minister for Foreign Trade and Economic Relations, Mirsad Kurtovic, and the Federation's delegation was headed by Justice Minister Mato Tadic. In order to step up the drafting of the agreement on accessing the Adriatic and passage through Neum, it was agreed that expert teams should meet prior to a ministerial meeting scheduled for the end of next week. The teams of experts should determine in detail how much the parties involved agree in their proposals on the matter. Today's statement points out that Federation President Ejup Ganic today received delegations of Croatia and the Federation for negotiations on special relations between Croatia and the Federation. It was agreed that these negotiations should be intensified and run concurrent with negotiations on accessing the Adriatic and passage through Neum. It was also agreed that a consortium for the building of motorways through Croatia and Bosnia, in line with a tripartite agreement signed in Dubrovnik in June 1996, should be established and commence working as soon as possible.
