CROATIA ATTENDS CONFERENCE ON CULTURAL DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY

( Editorial: --> 3547 ) STOCKHOLM, March 31 (Hina) - The international cultural development strategy for the next millennium is the central topic of an inter-government conference on cultural development policies, which is being held from March 30 to April 2 in Stockholm. The conference, organised by UNESCO, is attended by more than 1,500 representatives from 134 countries. The conference will consist of plenary sessions and a set of specialised workshops which are to link central cultural authorities with cultural research workers, artists and artists'' associations as well as with representatives of other international organisations. Croatian Culture Minister Bozo Biskupic spoke at Monday's plenary session about Croatia's cultural policy and cultural rights, stressing Croatia's orientation towards pluralism and democratisation of culture, based on cultural diversities.
