ZAGREB, March 23 (Hina) - The International Financial Corporation
(IFC) will continue participating in the development of the private
sector in Croatia, the Croatian Finance Ministry said on Monday.
IFC representatives, headed by the president of the IFC department
for central and south Europe, Harold Rosen, today discussed the
widening of IFC services in Croatia with Croatian Finance Minister
Borislav Skegro.
The corporation is an extended arm of the World Bank and has been
present in Croatia for three years. It financed several economic
projects with the value amounting to more than DM30 million.
IFC is planning on widening its services to the sectors of tourism,
machinery production, telecommunications and energy industry, the
Finance Ministry said.
