WARSAW, March 18 (Hina) - A Croatian House of Counties' delegation,
which is on an official visit to Poland, on Wednesday met with
representatives of parliamentary committees for European
integration, human rights and foreign policy.
The Croatian parliamentarians also met the Polish vice-premier and
representatives of the Polish Alliance of Catholic Families.
The Croatian parliamentary delegation is led by the House of
Counties' speaker Katica Ivanisevic.
During discussions with Polish MPs, Ivanisevic talked about the
problems which are slowing down the return of displaced persons and
refugees.
Speaking about Serbs leaving the Croatian Danube River region,
Ivanisevic said that they were leaving because of economic
reasons.
Croatia is not forcing them out but has given them political and
administrative opportunities like all its citizens, said
Ivanisevic.
However, Croatia cannot stop them even though it is aware that
nobody in Europe wants new refugees, she added.
Polish Vice-Premier Janusz Tomaszewski informed the Croatian
delegation about upcoming reforms of the administrative division
of Poland.
