ZAGREB, March 5 (Hina) - The Croatian Ambassador to the United
States, Miomir Zuzul, gave an interview to Washington Times on
Wednesday.
The interview focused on the political and economic situation in
Croatia and Croatia's views on the developments in neighbouring
countries, particularly Bosnia-Herzegovina and Kosovo.
Zuzul stressed Croatia's wish to join the European Union and its
firm commitment to the principles enshrined in the Dayton Accords.
"As a witness, Croatia signed the peace accord in Dayton and is
putting forth every effort to ensure its implementation," Zuzul
said.
Croatia's treatment by some US media was often undeserved and at
variance with the facts, Zuzul said, emphasising the frequently
erroneous interpretation of events in Croatia during World War II.
Also, instances where it can be shown that Croatia is dragging its
feet in the implementation of the Dayton Accords are fully
exploited, while hundreds of other cases where Croatia has actively
shown its commitment to Dayton are ignored, Zuzul concluded.
