ZAGREB, Mar 9 (Hina) - The Croatian Government Monday set up an
expert and advisory commission to carry out pension reform.
The commission's tasks will be carried out by a council and two
groups of economic and financial experts and experts for pension
insurance.
Alongside coordinating the two groups' work, the council will
tackle pension reform issues and present its opinions to the
government and other state bodies.
The commission's working groups will take part in drafting a final
bill on pension insurance, and will prepare other laws in the
field.
The first working group will draft a bill on compulsory and
voluntary pension insurance on the basis of individual capitalised
saving for old age, while the second group will draft accompanying
pension laws.
The pension reform implementation commission's council includes
commission coordinator Vice-Premier Ljerka Mintas-Hodak, Finance
Minister Borislav Skegro, Labour and Social Welfare Minister Joso
Skara, Privatisation Minister Milan Kovac, Assistant
Privatisation Minister Damir Ostovic and Faculty of Law professor
Zeljko Potocnjak.
