EUROPEAN COMMISSION TO BUILD 22 FLATS IN PAKRAC

( Editorial: --> 1524 ) PAKRAC, Feb 12 (Hina)- Special envoy of the European Commission Per Vinther and the mayor of Pakrac Damir Spancic signed today in Pakrac a memorandum of understanding on the construction of flats, in accordance with the project of two-way return and peaceful reintegration of the Danube region. In western Slavonia the Commission will build 22 flats for Bosnian Croat refugees who are presently accommodated in vacated houses in the area of Pakrac. In accordance with a pilot project by the Government, the European Commission and UNTAES, the village of Kusonje near Pakrac will soon see the reconstruction of houses of 10 families that will return to Pakrac, to be followed by reconstruction of another 53 houses.
