GOMIRJE, March 6 (Hina) - A panel on ethnic minorities in democratic
societies was held on Friday in the little town of Gomirje in
central Croatia, which was chosen as the venue of this cultural
event because of exemplary tolerance exhibited by its Croat and
Serb inhabitants during the war.
The panel was organised by the Faculty of Political Sciences to mark
the publication of the book "Minority Nations and Minorities" by
Sinisa Tatalovic, published by the Serbian Cultural Society
Prosveta.
Present were a number of intellectuals and public figures,
including Constitutional Court judge Nikola Filipovic, professors
of the Faculty of Political Sciences, the head of the Government's
Office for Ethnic Minorities, Mila Simic, and prominent locals.
