PRISTINA, March 6 (Hina)- Serbian forces continued attacking the
villages of Prekaz and Lausha in the municipality of Srbica, Kosovo
senior human rights activist Behxhet Shalja told Hina on Thursday.
It was feared that several hundred Albanians had been killed in
these attacks, conducted by police forces with the assistance of
sundry paramilitary units, notorious for their participation in
war crimes in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Shalja said.
In the village of Prekaz, torched houses were razed to the ground
with armoured cars and tanks to obliterate all evidence of the
killings according to the Bosnian recipe, Shalya specified.
On behalf of the Kosovo Committee for the Protection of Human Rights
and Liberties, Shalya expressed concern that the international
community had not shown determination to prevent the attack in the
Srbica municipality.
"If nothing is done, this municipality might share the fate of
Srebrenica," Shalya warned.
