SARAJEVO, Mar 3 (Hina) - The office of the international High
Representative for the implementation of the Dayton peace
agreement in Bosnia-Herzegovina is evaluating what has been done in
changing the situation in Bosnian Croat controlled territory in the
wake of demands on the matter submitted to Croatian President
Franjo Tudjman.
According to office spokesman Rid Attarashany, a positive change in
attitude has been noticed lately among Croat representatives in
talks on the opening of an airport in Mostar, southern BH.
Attarashany said that as regarded the area of Stolac, it was
necessary not only to replace current mayor Pero Raguz, but also to
appoint someone who would ensure the beginning of the refugees'
return to the area and who would improve the general situation.
The European Union and the administration committee for the
implementation of the peace agreement at a last week meeting in
Brussels showed a great interest for Zagreb to influence the
resolving of those issues.
