ZAGREB, Feb 20 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman Friday
received the head of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation
in Europe mission in Croatia, Tim Guldimann.
According to a statement from Tudjman's office, Guldimann pointed
out the very good cooperation with representatives of Croatian
authorities, and assessed that the security situation in the Danube
river region of eastern Croatia was of a high level.
Guldimann however warned that a feeling of psychological
insecurity was evident among local Serbs, adding it had to be
overcome.
President Tudjman said Croatian authorities would continue to
implement the policy which brought to the successful completion of
the peaceful reintegration of eastern Croatia.
Regarding the solution to the issues of unemployment and social
insecurity in the Danube river region, Croatia expected
objectivity and the international community's economic
assistance, Tudjman said.
Present at the meeting were also Tudjman's advisor for foreign
affairs Neven Madey, Tudjman's deputy chief of staff and chairwoman
of the National Committee for the restoration of trust Vesna Skare-
Ozbolt, and the head of Tudjman's cabinet, Gordan Radin.
