ZAGREB, Dec 23 (Hina) - Four unions of Croatia's largest press distributor "Tisak" on Thursday abandoned the idea of a strike which was to start at 2 p.m. after the government earlier today adopted a programme for the company's
financial and business restructuring. Today's government decision met the unions' demand that the "Tisak" restructuring programme be adopted in its entirety, thus providing conditions for a return to successful business in the company which not long ago was one of the most profitable in Croatia, the unions' strike committee said in a statement. "Tisak" unions will continue to closely control the implementation of the government decision, and demand of the company's board of directors to regularly brief them on the realisation of the restructuring programme, the statement added.(hina) ha
