BUDAPEST, Dec 20 (Hina) - The Croatian-Hungarian Interstate Committee for Minorities on Monday held a meeting in Budapest during which the two sides expressed satisfaction with the cooperation and discussed plans for the further
protection of Hungarian and Croatian minorities in both countries. Croatian Assistant Foreign Minister Mira Martinec said the Committee held regular meetings ever since the signing of a bilateral agreement on the rights of ethic and national minorities between the two countries. Martinec said the most important results of the cooperation was the construction of the Hungarian cultural and education centre in the eastern Croatian town of Osijek and the construction of a Croatian kindergarten, high school and a dormitory college in Budapest. She stressed the agreement also dealt with some economic and transport issues of interest to both countries.(hina) lml
