KOMIZA, Dec 18 (Hina) - Preparations for the building of eight wind farms of total power of six megawatts were completed on the southern Adriatic island of Vis on Saturday. This is going to be the first wind park in Croatia, which
will be built by the Croatia Power Utility (HEP) and the TERADUR company from the southern Croatian town of Trogir. The equipment for the wind farms will be delivered by Denmark's company of NEG MICON. Komiza mayor Vicko Mardesic told a press conference on Saturday that the wind farms should start operating within six months. The investor will pay about DM40,000 to the island's town of Komiza over the next 20 years. Mardesic also announced that at least ten new positions would be opened in the Komiza wind farms.(hina) it
