ZAGREB, Dec 15 (Hina) - Croatia's political parties on Wednesday forwarded to the state electoral commission proposals for the expansion of the state commission and for expanded compositions of constituency electoral commissions. At
the parties' request, the deadline for the submission of the proposals was extended and expires tonight at midnight. Asked when the government would call the presidential elections, state electoral commission chairman Marijan Ramuscak said it would take place next week, or 24 December at the latest. Tonight at midnight is the expiry of the deadline for lodging complaints on the released lists of candidates. No such complaint was received by early afternoon, said Ramuscak, and added he did not expect any given that all lists for the January 4 elections had been accepted.
