ZAGREB, Dec 14 (Hina) - Austria's former foreign minister Alois Mock sent a message of condolence to Croatian Parliament President and acting head of state Vlatko Pavletic on the occasion of the passing of Croatian President Franjo
Tudjman. Mock stressed in the message the late Croatian president would "certainly make history as a great political personality". He also expressed solidarity with the Croatian people whom he will "continue to support in the future in its efforts to strengthen its democracy and economic, social, and political stability". The former Austrian official asked for understanding for his not being able to attend President Tudjman's funeral because he was undergoing medical examinations in London. A letter of condolence was sent to Pavletic also by Moldavian President Petru Lucinschi, who stressed President Tudjman's role in the establishment of Croatia's independence and freedom.(hina) m
