ZAGREB, Dec 11 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic on Saturday received telegrams from several foreign officials who expressed their condolences on the occasion of the passing of Croatian President Franjo Tudjman.
"President Tudjman will be written down in history as the man who led Croatia into independence and contributed to the end of the conflict in Bosnia-Herzegovina by signing the Dayton (peace) agreement," wrote French Foreign Minister Hubert Vedrine. He called on Croatia to "use the impending parliamentary elections to pursue with the strengthening of democracy."
