ZAGREB, Dec 2 (Hina) - The Croatian Constitutional Court on Thursday appointed members of the Ethic Commission for supervising the upcoming parliamentary elections in Croatia, scheduled for January 3.

Thursday appointed members of the Ethic Commission for supervising
the upcoming parliamentary elections in Croatia, scheduled for

In line with the Law on the election of members of Parliament, the
Ethic Commission consists a chairperson and six members, selected
by the ruling and opposition parties according to their party ratio
at the Parliament.
According to the Law, president of the Croatian Science and Art
Academy, has been appointed chairman of the Commission.
At the suggestion of the ruling Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ),
appointed members of the Ethic Commission are dean of Osijek's
"J.J.Strossmayer" university, Gordana Kralik, Croatian deputy
public attorney Boris Koketi and head of the Croatian State
Archives, Josip Kolanovic.
The Opposition Six alliance (Croatian Social Liberal party,
Croatian Peasants' Party, Liberal Party, Social Democratic Party,
Istrian democratic Assembly and the Croatian People's Party)
suggested the appointed Ivan Grubisic of Split's Croatian Academy
Association, Zrinjka Perusko-Culek of Zagreb's Institute for
International relations and Petar Novoselec of Zagreb's Law
Faculty.
The Constitutional Court also appointed a Constitutional Court
Council for solving electoral disputes.
Vice-president of the Constitutional Court, Jurica Malcic, has
been appointed Council chairman, and judges Velimir Belajec and
Milan Vukovic members, the Constitutional Court said in a statement
signed by the Court's secretary-general, Josip Bedrac.
