ZAGREB, Nov 16 (Hina) - A Croatian Democratic Party (HDZ) vice-president Ivic Pasalic on Tuesday said his statement to the BBC regarding the condition of Croatian President Franjo Tudjman had been misinterpreted. I gave the BBC that
statement in the context of their question regarding rumours that the President had died and that the authorities were hiding that fact. I denied that resolutely, saying that "the relevant information on the President's condition can be found in the statements of the doctors' team, making it clear that the President's condition is serious, but that there is a strong possibility that he will recover". I believe and hope this will happen, Pasalic told reporters tonight.
