ZAGREB, Nov 12 (Hina) - Ivica Racan, the new co-ordinator of opposition six parties (Opposition Six), on Friday said that a consensus had been reached very quickly among parliamentary parties on the postponement of the dissolution of

Two weeks ago Opposition Six parties proposed that, due to the
health condition of Croatian President Franjo Tudjman, the current
composition of the House of Representatives should carry out its
term by 27 November, when mandates of current MPs expire under the
Constitution.
We are not happy to see the Sabor working under such circumstances
and would prefer that there are no such circumstances, Racan told
reporters after the Sabor's President Vlatko Pavletic's meeting
with representatives of parliamentary parties' benches.
The Opposition Six coordinator wished recovery to President
Tudjman.
Racan also supported Pavletic's appeal for the election campaign to
be conducted in a dignified manner and that everybody respect
political rivals.
A political rival mustn't be any longer treated as a state enemy,
which has too often marked the Croatian political life, he said.
"This is a moment when more national responsibility should be shown
in this sense," added Racan, the coordinator of Opposition Six
(consisting of SDP, HSLS, HSS, IDS, LS, HNS).
