SARAJEVO, Nov 9 (Hina) - If "Erotel" television form the southern
Bosnia-Herzegovina town of Mostar refuses to adopt an interim
permit for going on the air, issued by the Independent Media
Commission in Bosnia-Herzegovina (IMC), it is going to be under the
influence of certain persons from Zagreb who are more concerned
about personal financial profit than interests of Bosnian Croats,
deputy of the High Representative Simon Haselock said on Tuesday.
At a press conference held in Sarajevo on Tuesday, Haselock said
they did not receive any kind of an officials answer from Mostar on
the adoption or the refusal of the interim permit, however, the
Office of the High Representative was aware of rumours according to
which "Erotel" could refuse the offered solution.
Haselock said that the High Representative received a letter
regarding that issue. The letter was written in German, however,
according to Haselock, it was illiterate and ridiculous.
This is a surprise, particularly because this is a transitional
solution which needs to be based on the situation before the
implementation of a moratorium on the establishment of new
transmitters, Haselock said.
The IMC issued the permit to "Erotel" for going on the air via 11
transmitters, while all other transmitters would be transferred to
Bosnia-Herzegovina Radio Television once it is established.
