EROTEL: WE DO NOT WANT TO SIGN OUR TERMINATION

MOSTAR, Nov 8 (Hina) - The EROTEL television on Monday reported that it regretted to inform the public that the Office of the international High Representative (OHR) had unilaterally cancelled all political decisions on this TV house in Bosnia- Herzegovina. EROTEL said it would not sign an issued licence for its work, which practically terminates this biggest Croat TV station in Bosnia- Herzegovina. The OHR ordered to the Independent Media Commission in Sarajevo to issue the licence for the EROTEL'S work with only one strong transmitter, and the Commission did so. EROTEL rejected this regrettable and irresponsible provocation in fear of negative consequences which may be produced for the Croat people, namely the interests of TV audience, by the breach of agreement, read a statement issued by the Mostar-based Television Management. EROTEL forwarded a letter, not available to the public, to the High Representative Wolfgang Petritsch, saying it would not sign that, according to the EROTEL management, disgraceful licence, which practically means the discontinuation of EROTEL work by defining an area which this biggest Bosnian Croat television is allowed to cover.
