ZAGREB, Nov 4 (Hina) - According to government estimates, the total budgetary revenue in the first quarter of 2000 will amount to 11.28 billion kuna (US$1.56 billion). It is planned that expenditures will amount to 12.17 billion kuna,
whereas deficits, estimated at 987 million kuna (US$137 million) in the first three months of 2000, will be financed from domestic and foreign sources. Based on estimates regarding the development of economic activities in next year - a real growth rate of 3.5 per cent and the stability of prices, i.e., an annual inflation rate of three per cent, the Government has drawn up a draft decision on the temporary financing of Croatia's public expenditure for the period between January 1 and March 31, which was sent to the Parliament for adoption. It is planned that expenditures will amount to 12.17 billion kuna,

Public spending in the first quarter of 2000 is estimated on the
basis of the 1999 budget and the principles of fiscal policy, with
expenditures for employees to remain on the level of the average
salary in December 1999.
