We aimed at full freedom of the public word and complete responsibility for everything said in public and published, Vukusic said. As successes of the HND she underlined the establishment and good work of the Opatija-based International Centre for the Training of Journalists, as well as the work on the establishment of a Press Centre in Zagreb. The Croatian Journalists' Society will forward a protest from the Assembly to the Croatian Government because of the way members of the Croatian Radio and Television Council were elected. At the enticement of the Courtroom Reporters' Corps, the HND will forward a protest to the Justice Ministry because the Ministry requires requests for special accreditation in order for reporters to cover the work of the Ministry. The Days of Croatian Journalism, which began in Opatija with the HND session will continue on Saturday with the annual assembly of the Croatian Reporters' union and an award ceremony for 1998.
