VUKOVAR, Oct 29 (Hina) - The radio station "Dunav (Danube)" in the eastern Croatian town of Vukovar, which broadcasts its programme in the Serb language, on Friday commenced a project for the pre-election campaign with putting the
first pre-election information show on the air. This project, prepared under the sponsorship of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) which has the headquarters in Bosnia-Herzegovina, involves the Serb Radio Banja Luka and Radio 021 in Novi Sad (Yugoslavia). At the same time period every Tuesday and Friday in the coming two months, these three radio stations will air their joint half-hour information programme which consists of reports made by the stations' journalists. Since Monday, October 25, Radio Dunav has been broadcasting pre-election clips in cooperation with the OSCE. The clips are also being aired by other stations in the Danub

Since Monday, October 25, Radio Dunav has been broadcasting pre-

being aired by other stations in the Danube river area: Radio
Borovo, Radio Beli Manastir, Croatian Radio Vukovar and Croatian
Radio Baranja. The clips call on eligible voters to go to the
polls.
According to the Croatian Radio Vukovar director, Zeljko Fekete,
this station was given 5,000 US dollars for broadcasting these
clips six times every day in next 31 days. The money was paid by the
Zagreb-based US non-governmental organisation, PROMEDIA.
