ZAGREB, Oct 27 (Hina) - Croatian National Sabor's House of Counties on Wednesday unanimously adopted a traffic development strategy. During the debate it was stressed that Croatia must value its geo-strategic position. Representatives
directed special attention to the road traffic, particularly between Croatia's north and south, as well the northern Croatian region of Podravina and Zagreb. Niko Bulic of the ruling Croatian Democratic Union pointed to the position of the southern Adriatic town of Dubrovnik. He said that the building dynamics by the year 2020 did not include the Zagreb-Dubrovnik highway. Representatives from northern Croatia demanded that priority be the connection between Podravina and Zagreb. Minister Ivan Pavlovic said he was ready to partially adopt the demand.
