SIBENIK, Oct 19 (Hina) - Seven police officers from Sibenik on Tuesday stood trial, charged with having abused an Italian citizen last September. Five police officers have been charged with causing bodily harm to Ricardo Cettin and
two with the violation of human dignity. Six defendants said they did not accept the charges and did not feel guilty, while one is standing mute. The trial is being observed by the Italian consul in Split, Marcello Apicella. During the discussion, it was brought out that all seven defendants have been dismissed from their jobs and are no longer police officers with the Sibenik police.
