ZAGREB, Oct 6 (Hina) - The verdict adopted by the Zagreb County Court panel of judges in the trial of Dinko Sakic confirms that the Croatian judiciary is independent, said the president of the Association of Anti-Fascist Fighters of
Croatia (SABH), Ivan Fumic, on Wednesday. Speaking at a SABH session Fumic said his organisation and the Slovene association of anti-fascist fighters intended to organise a round table on Bleiburg next year. Fumic said he hoped the verdict in the Sakic trial meant the final act of distancing of the Croatian policy toward the Ustashi movement. "If the authorities keep the attitude they have demonstrated so far toward the Ustashi movement, this will mean the verdict in the Sakic trial was adopted under pressure from the international community", Fumic added.(hina) rml
