The State Agency for the Financial Reorganisation of Banks and
Savings Insurance (DAB), which owns 90 per cent of PBZ shares, this
last summer invited bids in the Financial Times for the sale of 66
per cent of PBZ shares. Ten banks demonstrated initial interest, of
which two have entered the final stage, Prka said.
Asked about the possible price of this package of shares, Prka said
it would depend on at least ten factors which are directly connected
with business and risks as well as with the decision on retaining a
control package owned by the state. Prka dismissed reports in some
papers saying he had spoken about the price of DM300 million for the
package.
