TWO FILMS BY OGNJEN SVILICIC TO BE SHOWN AT INTERNATIONAL FESTIVALS

ZAGREB, Oct 8 (Hina) - The film "Da mi je biti morski pas (I Wish I Was a Shark)" by Croatian director Ognjen Svilicic will be shown at the 48th international film festival Mannheim-Heidelberg, to be held on October 8-16. Svilicic's film is one of the 18 films selected among more than a thousand films, to be shown in the category "International Discoveries". The film was included in the festival at the last moment without translation and a dialogue list, the Croatian Television (HTV) press service reported on Friday. The film "I Wish I Was a Shark" won four "Zlatna arena" awards at this year's Croatian Pula Film Festival and the Croatian film reviewers' award "Oktavijan". The Mannheim-Heidelberg festival gathers distributors, producers, and buyers. Svilicic's television film "A Full House", made last year, has been included in the television festival "Prix Europa", to be held in Berlin on October 16-23. The festival presents selected television works from 34 countries. The "Prix Europa" festival is sponsored by the Council of Europe, European Parliament, and the European Commission.
