Grand Prix for the best feature film was awarded to Ana Torfs'
"Sitnice (Trifles)", whereas "O Zavodjenju (About Seduction)" by
Valerie Pavie was the best in the video competition. The CD project
entitled "Person To Person" by Elsa Stansfield and Madelon Hooykaas
won Grand Prix in the new media category.
In addition, special awards and commendations were also presented.
Films - "Happy Birthday, Mr. Mograbi" by Avio Mograbi and
"In/dividu" by Nicol Hewitt - were commended. "South" by Chantal
Akerman and "Ulijevam (I Instil)" by David Larcher in the video
category won special awards.
"Kako Biti Pustinjak (How Can One Be A Hermit)" by Laurel Swenson in
the video category, an Internet project "Image engine" by Roza El-
Hassan in the new media category and a public installation
"Environment of Chimeras" by Dan Oki received special
commendations as well.
Over 200 movies were shown during the festival, which commenced on
25 September.
Closing the festival, its director Branko Karabatic congratulated
winners on awards, and voiced pleasure with a high attendance of
shows during the event
