SARAJEVO, Oct 7 (Hina) - A Bosniak official from the eastern Bosnian town of Srebrenica was beaten up at the Municipal Assembly building on Wednesday afternoon, international representatives told reporters in Sarajevo on Thursday.
Alexandra Stiglmayer, spokeswoman for the Office of the High Representative (OHR), said a deputy to the president of the Srebrenica Municipal Council, Munib Hasanovic, was beaten up yesterday by two persons wearing masks. Hasanovic suffered serious injuries and was hospitalised in Zvornik. His life is not in danger and he will be transferred to a hospital in Tuzla, northern Bosnia. The OHR condemned the incident demanding from the local police in Srebrenica to urgently carry out an investigation. The perpetrators have not been identified yet. All Bosniak officials in Srebrenica left the town after the incident.(hina) rml
