PRISTINA, Sept 10 (Hina) - Nine persons were injured on Thursday evening when a group of armed Serbs attacked Albanian families who had returned to their homes in the southern Yugoslav province of Kosovo's town of Kosovska Mitrovica,
Albanian sources reported Friday. The incident took place in the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica, controlled by Serbs. In line with an agreement between Serbs, Albanians, and the Kosovo Force (KFOR), Albanian families recently started to return to the town. After the incident, a group of Albanian men tried to cross a bridge connecting the two parts of Kosovska Mitrovica to be able to help Albanians living in the Serb-controlled part of the town. French soldiers prevented them from crossing the bridge in order to stop the conflict from expanding, Albanian sources added.
