ZAGREB, Oct 4 (Hina) - German telecommunications giant Deutsche Telekom made a bid of US$850 million for 35 percent of the shares of Croatian Telecommunications, while the Norwegian-Swedish consortium of Telia-Telenor offered US$641
million for the same. Their bids were opened on Monday morning in the second circle of the bid for the privatisation of Croatian Telecommunications. The Croatian Government is to decided whether to accept the bid during the afternoon. On September 29, the Croatian Government failed to adopted, at the moment the only offer made by Telia-Telenor, due to a low price of US$611 million. The government made another invitation for bid and invited Deutsche Telekom and Telia-Telenor to make firmer financial offer.
