ZAGREB, Oct 4 (Hina) - In late August, international reserves of the Croatian National Bank (HNB) amounted to US$2.9 billion, HNB officials reported Monday. According to data of the HNB September Bulletin, at the same time,
foreign-exchange reserves amounted to US$1.7 billion. The monetary policy for the third trimester aims at increasing international reserves in the Central Bank. According to HNB officials, in July and August 1999, international reserves increased by US$242 million, which is US$50 million more than in the same period the year before.
