OSIJEK CONGRESS OSIJEK, Sept 15 (Hina) - The first day of the Croatian Slavic congress that commenced in the eastern city of Osijek o Tuesday, ended with a ceremony of giving awards to renowned Slavists. The award for the contribution
in literature entitled "Antun Barac" was given to Maja Boskovic Stulli. The award for the contribution in philology named after Stjepan Ivsic was given to Radoslav Katicic, whereas the best Slavist from abroad, Sante Graciotti, received the "Vatroslav Jagic" award. At the ceremony held in Osijek's Croatian National Theatre, the head of the Croatian Philological Society, Borislav Pavloski, conferred awards on the laureates. In addition, three publications, issued by the Philological Society's Slavists Committee, have been dedicated to the award-winners.
