SPLIT, Sept 27 (Hina) - The Split County police have arrested one Yugoslav and two Croatian citizens under suspicion of smuggling and selling 'ecstasy' tablets, Split County police department reported on Monday. The smuggling chain
was headed by the Yugoslav citizen, from Belgrade, aged 54, with temporary residence in Belgium, formerly the director of the "Jugobanka" office in Brussels. The police suspect that from September 1998 to September 1999, the Yugoslav citizen purchased ecstasy in Belgium and smuggled 3,000 tablets in several turns each in his car into Croatia. He delivered the drugs to Split, where the two Croatian citizens (aged 31 and 21) sold it in the area of Split County. Police found in the Yugoslav's possession a large amount of foreign currency and a box with tablets, whereas three ecstasy tablets, 140 Heptanon tablets, a plastic bag with heroin residue and a small amount of money from the sold drugs were found
