GRANIC MEETS FOREIGN MINISTERS OF DENMARK, CHINA AND UKRAINE

NEW YORK, Sept 21 (Hina) - During his first working day in New York, Croatia's Foreign Minister Mate Granic held meetings with his Danish, Chinese and Ukrainian counterparts. At Monday's talks, Denmark's Foreign Minister Helveg Petersen was interested in the coming election in Croatia and issues relating to the cooperation of Zagreb with the Hague-based International War Crimes Tribunal (ICTY). Granic initiated the question of revoking the Danish decision on the introduction of visas for Croatian citizens, and the Danish diplomat said his government would consider this matter. They also discussed possibilities for the set-up of a working group through which the European Union will help Croatia to adjust itself in order to approach the EU easier. They described the Croatian-Chinese relations as good and friendly. Granic thanked China for the support which this UN Security Council permanent member had given to his country in all issues as regards Croatia's sovereignty and integrity.
