Minister Granic reminded that Croatia was the first country which in November 1991 requested that such a tribunal be established, motivated by the numerous crimes committed during the Greater Serbian aggression against Croatia, a Foreign Ministry press release said. Minister Granic reminded that Croatia was the first country which

The head of Croatia's diplomacy informed the diplomatic corps of
the steps taken by the Croatian Government towards resolving
contentious issues on cooperation with the Tribunal. As such, the
press release notes, relating to Mladen Naletilic, whose
extradition was requested by the ICTY, the Croatian Government has
decided to decisively implement the Supreme Court's ruling.
As far as jurisdiction over the Flash and Storm military operations
which liberated occupied Croatian territory in 1995, is concerned,
a contentious issue between Croatia and the Tribunal, Minister
Granic said that following Justice Minister Zvonimir Separovic's
visit to The Hague, and strong efforts by Croatia's diplomatic
circles, legal solutions to this issue are almost nigh.
