ZAGREB, Sept 3 (Hina) - Croatian Premier Zlatko Matesa and Finance Minister Borislav Skegro on Thursday and Friday held separate talks with representatives of Deutsche Telekom and the Scandinavian consortium Telia-Telenor, the
potential investors into Croatia Telecommunications (HT). The decision on the selection of the strategic investor will be made by the end of September.
ZAGREB, Sept 3 (Hina) - Croatian Premier Zlatko Matesa and Finance
Minister Borislav Skegro on Thursday and Friday held separate talks
with representatives of Deutsche Telekom and the Scandinavian
consortium Telia-Telenor, the potential investors into Croatia
Telecommunications (HT). The decision on the selection of the
strategic investor will be made by the end of September. #L#
The Deutsche Telekom delegation was led by Joachim Kroske, a member
of the financial administration, whereas Telia-Telenor
representatives were headed by Hans Golteus, a vice president for
international operations.
According to a statement issued by the Government Media and Public
Relations office, the Croatian state officials and the potential
investors discussed the course of HT's privatisation so far, and
the development plans and the potential foreign investors can offer
the HT.
"This is another visit of the highest representatives of Deutsche
Telekom and Telia-Telenor which bears proof of the keen interest
the two companies have demonstrated in purchasing the HT and it
contributes significantly to successfully concluding the
privatisation procedure", the statement said.
The HT's privatisation is proceeding in line with the plan and is in
its final stage. All details regarding the selection of the best
bidder and the exact date of completing the transaction will be
announced in due time.
