AGREEMENT ON FORMING CONSORTIUM FOR GOLF COURSES SIGNED

ZAGREB, Aug 31 (Hina) - Representatives of the Croatian Tourism Ministry, Istria County, and the Istria County Tourism Board on Tuesday signed an agreement on establishing a consortium for carrying out preparatory works and constructing golf courses in Istria County. A programme of promoting golf as an element of the development strategy of Croatia's tourism represents the basis for expanding the country's tourist offer, said Tourism Minister Ivan Herak. The programme includes 19 locations, of which three will be constructed in the mainland and 16 in Croatia's coastal region. Ten golf courses will be built in Istria County. The programme was adopted by the Government at a session held behind closed doors last Thursday.
