ZAGREB, Sept 1 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman on Wednesday received Hungarian Foreign Minister Janos Martony, who is in a two-day visit to Croatia. According to a statement from the President's Office, Tudjman said he was
confident Martony's visit, and Hungarian President Arpad Goencz's impending visit, would help further deepen the friendly relations between the two neighbouring countries. During talks it was pointed out economic cooperation should be intensified, joint projects realised, and transport connections advanced by completing the Rijeka-Budapest highway and by building a railroad. This, the two parties agreed, would be of major importance not only for Croatia and Hungary, but for all countries in the Danube river basin region.
